Title: AgTa Home Health Care and Nursing Occupational therapy assistant (Rehabilitation Therapist-Polish/Ukrainian-speaking)  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Day

Salary: $25.00 Hourly for 10 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Toronto Centre, Ontario (2 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Occupational Therapist Assistant Diploma (OTA), Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma (PTA)


Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English, Polish, Ukrainian


Work Setting: Home care or visiting care agency


Therapy Assistant Specific Skills: Provide support services to health care professionals


Pharmacy Assistant Specific Skills: Assist health care professionals, Maintain prescription records and inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products


Occupational Therapist Assistant Specific Skills: Assist patients in crafts or other activities as directed by occupational therapist


Additional Skills: Schedule appointments


Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driving record check (abstract), Immunization records, Tuberculosis test


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Sound discrimination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
