Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination, Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Rehabilitation centre, Private practice


Area of Practice: Sports therapy, Orthopedics, Manipulative therapy, Acute care therapy


Specific Skills: Assess patients' physical abilities, Administer evaluative tests and procedures, Plan physiotherapy programs, Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations, Maintain clinical and progress reports, Confer with other health professionals


Additional Skills: Supervise technical and support staff


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
